Closure evening to bring it all together

The topic of the sixth and final evening of our Spring 2026 Brussels men’s group was integration: bringing together everything we explored over the past six months and grounding the "New Man" into our daily lives.

Tonight, there were no new concepts to learn, and no complex exercises to master. Instead, we looked back over the terrain we crossed together: from our childhood scripts and protective masks to our inner compass, our core relationship patterns, and our deepest inner resistance.

Sensing six months of transformation in the body

We began the night with a somatic arrival meditation to anchor ourselves in the present moment. Rather than running through a mental checklist of what we learned, we invited the men to feel back into their bodies:

  • Who were you when you walked into this room six months ago on night one? What tension, hesitation, or guardedness were you carrying?

  • How did you walk into this same room tonight?

Pairs then moved into an extended buddy check-in to unpack that physical shift. The contrast was striking.

To bring those individual reflections back into the collective space, each man chose a Dixit card representing his personal journey across the series, sharing a short three-minute snapshot of how he transformed from the inside out.

The appreciation circle

The emotional peak of the evening was the farewell appreciation ritual.

We formed a half-circle. One by one, each man stepped into the center to stand alone in his raw presence. The remaining men stepped forward to look him in the eyes and share what they deeply appreciated about him: how they saw him grow, where he showed courage, and the specific qualities he brought into the group.

Receiving genuine, unconditional appreciation from other men without deflection or humor is something rare in modern life. To be seen clearly by peers who know your story, your struggles, and your masks creates a deep, lasting anchor of self-worth.

A takeaway for your own week

Real personal growth is not about collecting new self-help theories; it is about integrating who you are into how you live every day. Take a moment to ask yourself:

  • If you look back at who you were six months ago, what is one old mask or habit you have subtly outgrown?

  • What is one quality of your true self that you are ready to embody fully around the people in your life today?
